It will get better.
Not today. Maybe not in the next 2 weeks. But it will get better.
In order to heal, you must go thru the grieving process first. Grieve the love lost. Cry your hearts out.
The pain you are feeling is normal. It makes you human. You have to acknowledge it and feel it.
Take your time. Heal slowly. Heal at your own pace.
With time, all wounds will heal. The scars from that wounds will serve as reminders of the personal battles you’ve fought. Of how strong you are. How despite all the heartaches, you are still here… trying.
It will be a reminder of the lessons you’ve learned. That loving someone is setting them free. That there is no good in holding on to people who are not meant for you.
That sometimes the best thing you can do for someone you love is to let them go.
Be thankful, that at that moment, even if it was fleeting, you felt loved.
And when it is all done, give yourself the closure that you deserve. Make peace of the past.
Take this time to reflect and work on yourself. Learn to love yourself again. Make your own safe place.
Then start all over. Begin again.
