Are you daydreaming of a vacation by the beach? I feel you! So while waiting for this
pandemic to be over, start planning your next beach trip! Check out my recommended beach destinations for your next vacation. Don’t forget your sunscreen! 😎 🏝

1. Boracay Island, Aklan
Boracay needs no introduction. It has been awarded as the Best Island in the World many times! The island is blessed with a long stretch of powdery white sand, crystal blue water, stunning sunset and many more!

2. Bantayan Island, Cebu
If someone asks me what island I would recommend to visit in PH? Bantayan will always come first on my mind. This island has a unique charm that I've never experienced with other places I've visited. The first time I was in Bantayan was November 2012, times where you can’t even find a decent restaurant in Sta. Fe! I’ve visited the island more than 5 times after that, but I still feel giddy and excited like it’s my first time. The island has a lot to offer but the highlight is its pristine and powdery white sand. Bantayan’s powdery sand will give Boracay a run for its money.

3. Siquijor Island
Siquijor, formerly known as Isla de Fuego or Island of Fire during Spanish era, is the third smallest province of the Philippines. This island is very laidback and full of mystery. The island boast with white sand beaches, century old churches, amazing dive sites, beautiful waterfalls and other natural wonders that is waiting to be explored. Siquijor is also famous for witchcraft and traditional healing. You can even bring a love potion as a pasalubong!

4. Carabao Island, Romblon
'Carabao Island' is dubbed as the twin sister of Boracay Island but with an entirely different persona. Whilst Boracay is flocked with tourist all year round, Carabao Island, Hambil as it is called by its residents, has the peaceful island vibe its counterpart lacks. If you just want to enjoy the beach all to yourself and want to experience a slow pace life, this island is for you.

5. Malamawi Island, Basilan
Among the list, this one is the most off beaten. Malamawi Island, is a small island tucked in Basilan. Many tourist may have never been to this part of the country due to its instability. But this island has been a go‑to beach destination of the locals. The long stretch white sand and the idyllic blue water are treats for the brave souls!

6. Isla Gigantes
Isla Gigantes, Spanish for Island of Giants, is a group of islands in Panay. This group of islands is still off‑beaten compared to its neighbor, Boracay. Island hopping is a must, to see the island and its beautiful beaches and islets. There is a also a lagoon hidden within karst rock formations.

7. Naked Island, Siargao
Siargao is not only famous for its big waves but also for its powdery white beaches. Naked island is one of the 3 small islands visible from Siargao. This island is more like a sandbar with no trees or shades, thus the name Naked Island. So are you allowed to get naked here? Yes, as long as you’re alone. 🤪

8. Moalboal
If you are in Cebu and you want to have a quick trip outside the city, Moalboal should be on top of your list. This beach town is accessible by bus, thus flocked by tourist every weekend. Aside from enjoying the beach, you can also snorkel and scuba dive here. You can also side trip to the famous Kawasan Falls! The highlight of my trip was the sunset. It was one of most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.

9. Anda Beach, Bohol
The most underrated beach town in Bohol! If you are tired of the nightly party and crowded Alona beach, you should visit Anda. You can have the whole beach all to yourself! Also, don’t forget to visit Cabagnow Cave Pool!

10. Camotes Island
Camotes Island, is a group of islands in the east of Cebu Island that is known for its beautiful white sand and amazing caves and lake. The best way to navigate the island is by renting a motorcycle. Just make sure to be careful because the roads are small and underdeveloped. PS. Don’t forget to visit the islet Tulong Diot.

11. Panglao, Bohol
If you want where the crowd is, you have to visit Panglao. With its resorts restaurants and hotels, this beach is the tourist hub of Bohol. The beach can be overwhelmingly crowded sometimes, but there are days when it’s less crowded and you can enjoy the beach by yourself. Panglao has a lot to offer‑ from caves to its underwater treasures.

12. Lakawon Island
This small island is not yet mainstream so most tourist are local from the nearest towns. White sand and beautiful blue water, a perfect combination for a perfect beach getaway.
So don't forget to include Philippines in your travel bucketlist. There is so many more beaches to visit!
